JOYSTICK
The project started with abstracting the forms of a coral Euphyllia. Throughout the whole process, I used clay as a working material. The fundamental forces, lines, and accents I found abstracting the form translated into a joystick as a final design. Through the undulating shaft, the movement is designed with an organic and playful feeling. I want the joystick to feel grand and beautiful when it’s in its charging dock, and it should make you curious to explore the form further. The sea coral inspires the joystick. It is light and lively but still gives a sense of security.
